What is MOOYAH?
The Burger industry is a competitive space, and rightfully so; it’s America’s favorite meal! Within this landscape, we found that there were two options for the consumer; a high-quality burger commonly found in an upscale restaurant environment, or a lower quality burger experience where one QSR burger concept was indistinguishable from another. Our goal was to bring the type of burger you’d enjoy in a fine-dining establishment, but serve it in an environment where you could have some fun!
MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes is a fast-casual, “better burger” concept offering mouthwatering made-to-order burgers, hand-cut french fries hand and real ice cream shakes. Our mission is to deliver the best burger, fry & shake experience EVER, and have fun doing it!
We serve 100% Certified Angus Beef® brand burgers, all-natural Jennie-O® turkey burgers, black bean veggie burgers and all-beef hot dogs. MOOYAH’s non-GMO potato and multigrain buns are baked in-house daily, and Guests experience mind-boggling variety with being able to choose from five real cheeses, bacon, avocado, and 20 free sauces.
It’s no surprise that the family-focused concept appealed strongly to family Franchisees. Early on and to this day, MOOYAH’s most successful restaurants are those owned and operated by families: brothers, husbands and wives, fathers and sons, and even neighbors who act like family. The air among the corporate team, or MOO Crew Support Center as they’re called, hasn’t changed much since the early days.
While team members come and go, the well-established culture preserves brand characteristics of being real, celebrating wins, having each other’s backs, and being insatiable about ongoing improvement. Ten years into its growth, the burger franchise brand caught the attention of private equity groups looking for great concepts to invest in and grow.
In 2017, the brand was acquired by an aliate of Balmoral Funds LLC and Gala Capital Partners, LLC. This milestone paved the way for expedited execution of growth and support strategies, including increasing personnel on the corporate team to provide more guidance and hands-on leadership to Franchisees.
Now wrapping up year 12, MOOYAH hasn’t changed much. It’s still the best burger franchise brand committed to the success of Franchisees above all. The brand believes in growing at the pace it takes to join with qualied, informed Franchisees. Sure, they have growth goals—but they won’t compromise on finding the right partners to further the brand that began with improving upon American staples and serving them in an environment that’s as fun as the food itself.

MOOYAH was an early adopter of new technology and has a strong focus on providing technological solutions for both franchise partners and Guests, including a cloud-based POS system coupled with back-end third-party analytics that includes an inventory management program and a labor management program, all hosted on an online portal and a mobile app for partners on the go.
