It’s been quite a summer for us here at MOOYAH, with plenty of new store openings and exciting news for our burger franchise. While COVID-19 has been a challenge for all of us, we’ve shifted our business model and are set to emerge from it stronger than ever. Our CEO Anand Gala recently sat down with Fox Business to discuss our experience during these past months and how it has helped to shape our brand.

While 2020 has been inherently unpredictable, it has helped our burger franchise to put a firm emphasis on safety regulations and protocols, as well as customer analytics, and form a better understanding of the needs of our customers during this time. We have focused on digital platforms which have helped us to make it more convenient for our customers to safely and easily order food with us. These have proven to be quite successful as we’ve successfully increased our third-party delivery and pick up features of our business to keep guests coming in our doors and our burger Franchise Owners busy. 

While Anand Gala has worked within the restaurant industry for over 40 years, this is the first time he has seen a climate like this. Still, COVID doesn’t phase our burger franchise, as the restaurant industry is one of, if not the most, irrepressible sector to operate in. 

“The restaurant industry is one of the most resilient, and those who have been through multiple cycles have built up a lot of muscle memory on resiliency,” Gala added. “Our focus is really helping our Franchise Owners stay open, stay operating, stay profitable, and as we get through this, I think those businesses will be substantially stronger coming out the other end.”
