This month, we’re unveiling our all-new Vegan burger, to stand alongside our Keto, Paleo, gluten-free and low-calorie Lifestyle Burgers that allow us to accommodate the needs of each one of our customers, and we couldn’t be more excited!

“We wanted to be able to provide our Guests who live a vegan or flexitarian lifestyle with a delicious burger,” MOOYAH Burgers Vice President of Brand Natalie Anderson-Liu said in a Yahoo! Finance article last week. Anderson-Liu further highlighted MOOYAH’s commitment to bringing the all-American hamburger franchise concept into the future, saying, “Our menu is packed with crave-able, ‘ridiculicious’ burgers, so the obvious next evolution is to include a vegan burger that hits that mark.”
The Vegan burger will feature a black bean patty by Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods, an independent, family-owned natural food brand that was founded by two heart surgeons over two decades ago. Chosen specifically for its premium quality and delicious taste, the Dr. Praeger’s black bean patty joins our classic 100% Certified Angus Beef® and Jennie-O® turkey burgers as another mouthwatering option for Guests who prefer plant-based proteins in their diet. 

While MOOYAH has had a vegetarian burger option on its menu since our inception in 2007, adding a true vegan burger to our Lifestyle Menu helps us ensure that we have something for everyone who walks through our doors. “We’ve always had the vegetarian option, but now, we’re able to meet the needs of everyone, including those with vegan preferences,” explained Natalie Anderson-Liu in a QSR Magazine article

Additionally, the rollout of the Vegan burger coincides with MOOYAH’s brand-new partnership with Avocados From Mexico for a first-quarter promotion that helps customers score a free avocado add-on to their burger through the MOOYAH Rewards App. The inclusion of fresh, delicious Avocados From Mexico to any custom-crafted MOOYAH burger, including the Vegan, helps solidify our reputation for bringing the freshest, highest-quality ingredients to the table for our fans. As Natalie Anderson-Liu points out, “Fresh avocado makes burgers better, which is why it’s part of nearly all of our Lifestyle Burger recipes, including the newest addition, The Vegan.” We can’t argue there!

Of course, the all-new Vegan burger is hardly the only newsworthy thing to happen to MOOYAH in 2020. This month marks the beginning of our exciting brand refresh, featuring a totally redesigned interior, exterior and logo to better reflect the elevated burger franchise experience we deliver to our Guests each and every day. MOOYAH 2.0, which was first unveiled in November 2019, includes features such as high-top community tables, a flexible seating area to allow for parties of any size and an all-new to-go pickup area designed for ease and convenience as takeout orders and third-party deliveries gain in popularity. Two brand-new MOOYAH locations in Hoover, Alabama, and Orlando, Florida are slated to be the first in the country to feature our sophisticated new look. In the Yahoo! Finance article, MOOYAH President & COO Tony Darden said, “MOOYAH is excited to open 14 new locations and remodel 10 existing locations that will feature our new prototype and allow our Guests to enjoy our ‘ridiculicious’ food and either relax and stay for a while or take their food to go in an efficient restaurant design.” 

Upscale, clever design elements found in the new MOOYAH restaurants will also incorporate cutting-edge technology to enhance the ordering process and make operations even simpler for MOOYAH Franchise Owners and staff. Darden says, “The design will also feature digital menu boards and our refreshed logo. We know that our elevated prototype will aid in onboarding qualified Franchise Owners and help us increase franchise development awareness.” With our Lifestyle Burgers keeping us up to speed with consumer health demands, as well as our fresh new design, we’re ready to make the 2020s the decade of MOOYAH!
